Question:-  John Remumd   from  Blackburn.

I have a 1967 MK 2  2.4 and I am having trouble with my Ignition Coil. I am going to change it and wondered if you know what the correct one should be, and how it is wired.  My car is still positive earth on a dynamo.

Answers:-  The Coil should be Lucas Type HA 12, making sure that it is wired the correct way round.  As your car is positive  earth the wire to the points should be on the positive side of the Coil.  The negative side goes to the ignition.
